Self-Portrait/Old Sketchbook Pages

I finally finished a self-portrait I started shortly after my surgery... I got tired of looking at it unfinished. It's kinda gruesome and I'm not sure what I'll do with it now that it's done. I've never actually painted a self-port before, but I thought that I looked super weird and that it would be worth documenting.

Cult 28 Gift Exchange V.2

A few months ago we had our Second Annual Secret Santa style gift exchange. This year we had a theme; Tarot. Everyone was assigned a random card, and it was really awesome seeing all the work displayed in one gallery.

I was assigned The Star. Unfortunately I did not get a very good picture of the piece I did..

Damn, it's been a while since my last update. I'm going to really start making an effort to post stuff on here...

Here are a couple pages from my sketchbook, done a few days before my accident.

I had planned on plein-air painting all last summer, and these were the only two I ever got the chance to complete.

Art Exchange.

So our group (around 28 of us) had our first annual art exchange this year! It was like a secret santa, but with art. Awesome right? Anyway, I painted something creepy, which I should not have done without confirming first that the person receiving the painting was into things like that. Oh well, it was a learning experience I guess. Next year i'll make sure to dig for more info about my recipient before starting it!!

New Blog.

I've been meaning to make a new blog for a while, as I was becoming increasingly embarrassed of my previous blog URL, especially when people at work started to find it randomly, and questioned me about it's meaning. Haha.

Anyway, here's some portfolio stuff to get started with. I'm really going to make it a point to update this thing at least once a week!
